We meet at our base in Milia beach on the morning of the first day of your kayak expedition to organize equipment and get to know each other. Then we load the kayaks and get going. If this is your first time, don’t worry. We are there to help!
Depending on the weather we can either head north or south around Skopelos.
The crossing to Alonissos is only a few kilometers and is broken up by 2 small islands. Patatiri village on Alonissos is a beautiful little harbor town well worth exploring, or just sit back in one of the many waterfront tavernas and watch the world go by. Peristera island sits just off the east coast of Alonissos. You can either go around and experience the wild rugged coastline or head up the channel passing small fishing towns. The port of Gerakis at the north of Alonissos is a beautiful tranquil spot and was home of the Marine Conservation Area Research Center.
Huge cliffs tower above the west coast while birds of prey circle in the thermal currents. An evening in the old town (Hora) is a fantastic end to our circumnavigation of Alonissos. Wander along the cobbled streets among traditional stone buildings before enjoying your evening meal from this lofty perch.
We finish off the last few days paddling around the dramatic coast of Skopelos, exploring sea caves and stopping on deserted beaches.
There will be plenty of opportunity to practice personal skills, navigation and leadership if you wish.
This kayak expedition offers everything from traditional villages, deserted beaches, secret coves and stunning views of distant islands!
